Get in the Game

Pumps Day is upon us; or What Can I Say Wednesday or whatever you want to call this top of the weekly bell curve… pick the moniker and hang it boldly above the threshold of your life.  Welcome the day as a weary traveler bringing glad tidings.  Be the respite, the oasis verdant and ripe with promise.  You don’t have to turn yourself inside out to project inner beauty.  Don’t be stingy or reluctant to share.  Remember what you give away comes back in multiples.
Lose the dime store mentality.  Why are you scrimping and saving?  Get in the game and play an active role.  I know, these admonitions sound over the top.  There is no reason to believe we don’t have to engage.  We’ve been down that road – external forces need not apply. We’re not accepting applications for life surrogates.
Send the blues packing.  Live your life.  Everyday is the equivalent of a hotel room or an airline seat.  If you don’t use it there’s no saving it for another time.  Once the time is gone there’s no recouping. So why sit on the sidelines?  Come on admit it, there’s no good reason.  Nothing should be permitted to dampen your spirits; not traffic, nor public transit delays nor unhealthy attitudes.
The grass may seem greener on the other side of the fence.  The cause could be genetically modified lawn, artificial carpet or worse!  Play the hand you are dealt.  Sure you can trade a few cards – this isn’t about forsaking the opportunity to make adjustments.  I’m one of the poster children for tuning and fine tuning.
Give yourself the opportunity to make something spectacular out of your life if you haven’t already put yourself on the course for success, however you define it.  Time to get moving.  They’re about to close the main cabin door.  The jetway is a lonely place when boarding is complete.  Take your seat, the ride of your life is about to begin.
Have a wonderful day.

Love and hugs, Nikki DiCaro
