What we have is everlasting.  Not sure to “what” I am referring? Not picking up what I’m laying down? Don’t believe?  Ye of little faith… okay you think faith has nothing to do with it, unless your name is Faith.  I beg (not that style of begging – stay focused.  It’s only Wednesday for crying out loud) to differ. Faith’s sister Hope is relevant.  And so is Charity.  All three sisters rate with me.  Each delivers her unique contribution.  Faith reminds me there is discernable benefit to keep on keeping on – never surrendering.  Not only keeping Faith but also sharing it.  You’ve heard me expound on the “sharing” of the essence that helps you cope, deal, persevere and triumph.  We need that “sharing” from time to time.  The giver as well as the receiver benefits in the exchange.  Tell me you haven’t been on both ends of that table, and explain how you felt nothing – no stirring of emotion; not even an inkling.
Hope supports Faith because without Hope, Faith would be less potent, lacking oomph.  I Hope that Faith is not waning because I have Faith that you will never give up Hope.
Last but not least there is sister Charity.  We make charitable contributions to the well-being of those in need.  I see it regularly in our community. You know I’m not speaking of tithing of funds.  Kind words, gentle touch, warm smile, engulfing hug, etc. all serve as Charity.
All of this activity engenders goodwill – no not the “industry” and not the accounting entry for purchase price exceeding book value.  Goodwill builds bridges.  One never knows when a bridge will come in handy to overcome an obstacle.
If you’ve never needed Charity I believe you’ve not recognized the need nor the offering provided without pretense.
The triplets enhance our ability to be a contributing member of our community.  If all of life is based upon their advocacy we’d have fewer problems.  We may not be able to change the world rapidly but we are changing it one person and one day at a time.  Dreaming of a world where everyone experiences an overabundance of the triplets is probably beyond the realm of possibility.  What we can and will accomplish is to make those who choose to make their camp outside our fair city diminish in number – the non-influential minority.  We’re generating change, regardless of the minor setbacks.  I Hope that bolstering Faith will lead to Charity for all!  Lead, follow or walk beside.  Regardless of your position in the group don’t ever choose to be a bystander – we need everyone to contribute.

Love and hugs, Nikki DeCaro
