Tuesday unfolds like a greeting card; one that carries glad tidings and gratitude.  How are you on this Thankful Tuesday?  Has it been seven days since we considered what settles onto our emotional plate?  Is the offering bountiful or sparse?  Does the size of your plate determine the volume of contents?  Smaller plate, seemingly larger portion?  Yes I know some vendors have reduced the size of the containers without reducing the price of the product.  Do we fall into that category; cutting back?
Not from what I can surmise from my circle of friends.  These are people for whom I offer thanks everyday!  Special people deserve a new moniker.  I call them Sister Friends because they are not only my sisters in spirit and in the flesh, they epitomize the meaning of friend.
Consider how those within your inner circle react to your situation.  Gratuitous offerings of support without expectations of repayment – that’s true friendship.  Kind words when friends sense the need; a hug that transfers strength and love; the “are you okay” look that tells you it’s alright to lay a burden down.
These are my Sister Friends.  The acronym for Sister Friends is SF or San Francisco.  In English that’s Saint Frances.  Yes I know the Spanish informs the masculine but I choose to feminize, my personal choice that I advocate at every opportunity.
Find your SFs and moniker them.  Right, I transformed a noun into a predicate; an action verb.  I think your Sister Friends will overlook the poetic license.
Take a moment out of your busy schedule and reflect on the riches bestowed upon you.  True friendship in this sisterhood is something that cannot be taken away.  Only you can forsake it.  Don’t permit anyone to dissuade you from that truism.
Similar to every other day, you can make today whatever you choose.  Be the mistress of your destiny today and tomorrow will serve you well.
Centi Anni Alla Famiglia!
Love and hugs, Nikki Nicole DeCaro
