Living Life in Color

Azure, Verdi, Amarillo, Marron, Rojo, etc.  Get the idea?
“Not really Nik. What’s this, language class in color?”
Sort of.
“And the point is?”
You are impatient.  If you’d give me a sliver of runway I’ll launch this missive.
You can live life in color; in any color or colors and in any language.  As there are endless colors in an artist’s rich palette, so there can be as many or as few colors in yours as you like.
Hues, highlights and accents pervade the landscape.  There’s no reason your life should be lived in monochrome, huh?
Here’s an exercise.
“Oh for the love of chocolate can you stop with the mental exertion!”
Go back to sleep honey.  I’ll let you know when we desire your precious editorial incursions.
Where was I before I was rudely interrupted?  Oh yeah, pick a color, any color.  How many shades of chosen color can you imagine?  If you can imagine, you can create.  Try painting a mental picture using only one color.
I know, sounds plain, basic, unexciting.  True, if you limit yourself.  Remember, this is your imagination.  Anything and everything is possible.
Use this as your foundation, your base.  Now choose another color.  It doesn’t matter whether complementary or contrasting.  Begin to accent or blend or both.  Starting to see the corollary?
Oh come on sweetie, it’s about you.  You are the canvas.  Choose a favorite color as the starting point.  You know, the dress, top, skirt, etc.  Now add another article of clothing.  Starting to form your look?  Sure you are.  Now select accessories.  It matters not whether ostentatious or demure.  This is you we’re talking about dear.
Okay we’ve started this bird down the runway.  It’s up to you to decide when to pull back on the yoke and take flight.
Enjoy the ride love, Try to stay below 100,000 feet.  Air gets very thin up there.  Euphoria should be a natural feeling, not something induced by artificial means.
Have a colorfully rich day.

Love and hugs, Nikki DiCaro
