Is your life unwritten? Sometimes it feels that way; no path to
follow. The tour guides have
retired. Alone in a crowded world? Feeling like all eyes are upon you? Yes, life has a way of making us wonder. Some call it paranoia, others emotional
discomfort.
A small dose of discomfort is not
always a bad thing. We discussed
stretching the borders of our comfort zone.
Consider it land acquisition, manifest destiny, eminent domain. Take growth in bite-sized pieces. Too much too soon can cause emotional
indigestion and can overwhelm. Digest
and incorporate and these extensions of you will become seamless.
I’ve tried both – wanting
everything yesterday or the day before that.
I was disappointed at first to learn my weaknesses and limitations. I may feel like Wonder Woman or any of her
progeny but super powers can only take you so far. Even superheroes need to land and deal with
issues at ground level.
So go ahead and deal. The sooner we start the sooner we make
progress. Yes, progress is good. It may be scary – these revelations about
ourselves – but a little serves to recalibrate.
I call it getting my gyroscope tilted appropriately. Call it what you like, it’s the same for all
of us. Lows follow highs that follow
lows. Riding the hills and dales of
life.
Let’s plan to write the next verse in the poem
of our life. Not into verses or rhyming,
then try writing the next paragraph in the current chapter of your book or the
next stanza in your song. Whatever your
taste, you owe it to yourself to do something.
Remember we agreed that indecision is a decision and not always a good
one.
Don’t leave your life
unwritten. I know it will make
fascinating reading for all who choose to partake. That includes me honey so don’t leave me
hanging. I want to know what happens at
the next turn of the page. I’m not
anxious for the ending – I want to thrill with you; to enjoy the journey and
hopefully meet you along the way.
Take my hand. If you can’t take my hand physically, take it
emotionally. It wall always be available
to you.
Have a wonderful Tuesday. Be thankful for what you have and what you
are becoming. And yes, you are becoming
someone wonderful, awe-inspiring. But
most of all we are becoming friends.
Love and hugs, Nikki DeCaro
